I have gone from 118kg to 88 kgs (Losing almost
5 stones), whilst training at the Studio. I had
tried dieting, but with no way near the same results
as when I combined Dieting with Kickboxing. It
especially helped me with the training being Individualised
to myself. I am also proud of the fact that I
have gone through the excellent Grading Syllabus,
recently earning my Black Belt.

I had wanted to try Kickboxing for years, but
due to my high pressure career in Sales had never
found time to start. The main problem was the
fact that I did not want to train in mixed ability
classes. I also did not wish to train in a hired
room or hall, or with an Instructor who was just
teaching part-time. Once I started Private tuition
at the Studio with all the criteria that I desired
met, I found that I loved it. I have now Graded
to Black Belt, and even Competed in an Amateur
Competition, which is something that I never thought
I would be able to do.

I absolutely love the training. As a former Soldier,
and now a member of the Territorial Army, I really
enjoy exercise anyway. I am now a Brown Belt at
Kickboxing, and have competed four times. Both
of these things have given me a great sense of
achievement. At the Studio there is always a new
goal to train for, & the sessions are different
everytime. One of my best personal achievements
was when I recently entered a B.F.T. ( Basic Fitness
Test ) with the army. These tests are to make
sure that you are keeping to a high level of fitness.
I came 16th out of 100, which is my all time personal
best! Better than when I was 10 years younger
and in the Regular Army full-time!

I cannot believe I have come so far. I am now
a Green Belt and am greatly looking forward to
attaining my next level. I really enjoy the training
but am not a natural learner, especially with
the co-ordination that can be required. It sometimes
takes me a little longer than it would others
to develop the moves, but all the Instructors
are very patient and understanding helping all
the way.
