As the Combat-Sport of KUDO
allows the Zutsuki ( Head butt ) strike, a Headguard
with full face protection is used. This design
is known as the Neo Head Guard or NHG.
Combatives ( KAKUTO
) training also allows the use of the Zutsuki
( Head butt ) strike as well as Ground-&-Pound
training when practising groundwork. During combatives
self-defence drill training the KAKUTO
Headguard is worn.
Ground-&-Pound is regarded as the signature
of the combat sport of Mixed-Martial-Arts, what
takes KAKUTO combatives
training to a higher level than pure M.M.A. is
that the Zutsuki ( Head butt ) strike is also
allowed as an integral part of self-defence Ground-&-Pound
training. The dynamics of Grappling, is greatly
changed when the Head butt is also allowed as
a weapon..

headguard was designed specifically and is exclusive
to the Combat-Sport of KUDO.
