Grandprix Tournament bouts for the 2013 British
Championships were contested using the Amateur
Kickboxing Association of England's ‘O.S.R.’
Oriental Style Rules format, ( also known as K1
style rules ).
This format is used Internationally by all of
the major Kickboxing promotions such as ‘K-1’,
‘GLORY’, 'SuperKombat',
'KRUSH' and ‘ENFUSION’
and consists of Kicks, Punches, Knees with limited
clinch holding. Bouts are three rounds and in
the event of a draw decision the bouts extend
into an extra round.
The titles for championships are co-sanctioned
by the A.K.A. Amateur Kickboxing
Association with the
I.K.F. ( International Kickboxing Federation ).
Tournaments feature
Bronze, Silver and Gold medals for the final four
in a division. Gold medal winners also have the
option of an official title belt.
