The A.K.A. offers full recognition of an Instructors grade / level ( Dan ) ranking should your martial arts C.V. meet the required criteria.

Instructor levels are shown on the A.K.A. Kickboxing Black Belt by a RED BAND insignia.

A level one instructor will have one RED BAND for his 1st Dan Bar.

A level three ( 3rd Dan ) Instructor will have 3 RED BAND's to represent his Dan Bars, a
level five ( 5th Dan ) Instructor will have 5 RED BAND's etc...

Instructor grades help to give potential new members to a club an understanding of the experience a particular trainer has attained and can be very influencial on the choice a person makes regarding a potential school / club to join, ( does one train with a level 2 trainer at one club or a genuinely certified and registered 6th Dan Instructor with over 20 years coaching experience at another? ). In a survey that the A.K.A. conducted 99% said that they would rather train with a higher ranked Instructor!

If you would like to have your Instructor level recognised with a Dan Grade by the A.K.A. , then contact us and supply a CV of your martial arts training, including copies of certificates and a biography of your martial arts history.

Details of who you were initially Instructor certified by are also required, including any championship titles won by yourself or won by the students you have coached. A copy of your current C.R.B. is also required as well as a valid first aid certificate.

The year and month that you became a Level 1 ( 1st Dan ) Instructor will then be used for A.K.A. Kickboxing Instructor Level ( Dan ) grade ranking and you will receive an official A.K.A. certificate and Black Belt according to your recognised rank ( Levels 1 to 10 ).

Official A.K.A. Kickboxing Black Belts have Japanese Katakana lettering pronouncing 'KICKBOXING' along one end of the belt.

Along the other end of the belt in English will be the word 'KICKBOXING'

Underneath this will be the recognised grade of the Instructor, displayed by the Instructor insignia RED BAND Dan Bars.

These belts take several weeks to return to us, so please be patient as they are of the highest quality and arrive in a beautiful presentation box.
